Brewster Boys Holiday Hunt

Location: Wing Island

Riddle Creator: Aaron Lynn

Duration: 2 weeks

Description: A small chest containing a silver sleigh bell was buried on Wing Island in Brewster.

A riddle was provided to the location, which was the solar calendar located on the island.

Winners: Chris Doyle and Jack Bicker

Prize: $500 in dollar coins

Selected Charity: $500 to Wild Care of Cape Cod

Academy of Fine “Hearts”

Sponsors: The Academy of Fine Arts/Novolac Epoxy Technologies

Location: The end of the Provincetown breakwater in a lonesome tree; the Sandwich

Boardwalk underneath the “Lucky” plank.

Riddle Creators: Arron Lynn (writer)/Academy of Fine Arts (performance)/Emily Fowler (editor)

Duration: 2 Weeks

Description: A short love story was written about two pirates, each with a key to a lock on a

treasure chest filled with gold. The Academy of Fine Arts provided a reading/performance of

the tale, which the public had to watch to find the locations of the hidden keys.

Winners: Guy and Vana Trudeau/Hadley Kerr and her family

Prize: A chest with $1,000 split between the winners

Selected Charity: $500 to Amplify POC & $500 to The Compcat of Cape Cod Preservation Trust

Degory Vineland and Benson Saltworth’s Friendly Fued

Sponsors: John F. Noons Excevation; Aaron DeMoranville

Location: A hollowed out log across Uncle Tom’s Bridge in Wellfleet; in a hollow stump off the

trail by the smallpox cemetery in Chatham.

Riddle Creators: Aaron Lynn (Degory)/Wesley Dancause (Benson)

Duration: 10 days

Description: We had two separate authors write two separate riddles for their hidden items, a

compass and a spyglass. Each other than created fake social media accounts to interact with

the public and provide a little life to the feud.

Winners: Cristalyn Sears with her companions Alex and Hannah/ Kerry Berto OBrien and

husband Josh

Prize: Each winner received a chest full of $500

Selected Charity: $500 to Wildcare of Cape Cod & $500 to Orleans Homeless Prevention Center
